Establishment description: TIMELESS – WILD – MAJESTIC The Northern Tuli Game Reserve (NTGR), a 72 000 hectare unspoilt wilderness, is located in the easternmost corner of Botswana. Here is a unique, timeless corner of Africa where nature and culture combine in spectacular wildlife, breathtaking landscapes and fascinating history. The lodge is set in spacious gardens along the banks of the Limpopo River against a backdrop of stunning sandstone outcrops. Accommodation is provided in 8 cosy suites. A sparkling pool, star-deck and a Culture and Heritage centre are available at the lodge. Each day brings a new adventure as Tuli offers a truly authentic wildlife experience. Game drives and bush walks with exceptional guides, hides tucked away in the bush (where you can also stay overnight for the ultimate back-to-nature experience!) and horse rides in the wild. Here roams the largest elephant population on private land in Africa, together with leopard, cheetah, wild dog and lion, vast herds of plains game and over 350 bird species. The echo of ancient cultures resounds at the many sites of archaeological and spiritual significance, whilst meaningful visits with local communities showcase contemporary rural Botswana life. Tuli is a geologist’s dream. The rich hues and time-worn faces of the sandstone cliffs form a striking backdrop to Tuli’s wildlife spectacle and human drama. Tuli is easily accessible from South Africa, and fits in well with a trip incorporating the Waterberg, Kruger National Park and the World Heritage site of Mapungubwe. It is also a natural staging post en route to the Kalahari, Okavango or Chobe, and on to Victoria Falls. Tuli Safari Lodge is proudly hosted on TravelKids.co.za.
